Oxaliplatin-Dosis fettfrei berechnen
Adjuvante Therapien für kolorektales Karzinom im Stadium III nutzen oft Oxaliplatin. Diese Substanz kann eine belastende und oft irreversible periphere Neuropathie verursachen. Eine personalisierte Dosierung könnte die Neurotoxizität verringern.
Es gibt Hinweise darauf, dass Körperzusammensetzung und dosislimitierende Toxizitäten einer Chemotherapie zusammenhängen. Das berichtet auch Professor Dr. Eric Assenat von der Universitätsklinik in Montpellier (1).
Eine französische Pilotstudie zeigte etwa, dass bei mit FOLFOX (Folinsäure, 5-Flurouracil und Oxaliplatin) behandelten Kolonkarzinom-Patienten eine geringe fettfreie Körpermasse (LBM) ein Prädiktor für Toxizität und Neuropathie ist.
