Arthrose de la main – vers une approche ciblée ?
Les options thérapeutiques de l’arthrose digitale sont toujours extrêmement limitées. Les options sont en grande partie réduites à des antalgiques. De nombreuses tentatives de traitements modificateurs de la maladie ont échoué. L’espoir existe toutefois de parvenir à des approches efficaces en définissant des endotypes et en sélectionnant mieux les patients.
L’arthrose des mains est une maladie rhumatismale très fréquente à laquelle on n’accorde cependant pas l’attention qu’elle mérite. Cela s’explique probablement par le fait que les options thérapeutiques restent très limitées.
Facteurs de risque et nouvelles pistes étiopathogéniques dans l’arthrose de la main
La prévalence commence à augmenter régulièrement à partir de 40 ans environ. Chez les personnes de plus de 60 ans, elle atteint déjà 10 000 pour 100 000 habitants. Les femmes sont plus souvent touchées que les hommes (1).
